Final Booksale - Fabulous Result
Over the long weekend, BMETS held another outstanding booksale raising over $16,000.
With over 500 cartons of books and most titles selling at $1 many very satisfied customers attended the sale taking home large amounts of reading material.
The organisers, Ruth Moline, Wendy Whitton and Jennifer Rowe, wish to extend a warm thank you to everyone who supported the sale by donating books, assisting on the day and purchasing books. These combined efforts provide much needed funds for women, children and communities in Timor Leste.
"This is the eighth Booksale and most likely the last for BMETS. On behalf of the organisers, I would like to thank everyone who assisted the team. In particular I would like to thank some of the 'brothers' - Jake, Rick, Bob, Steve. Also a big thank you to the CWA for making their hall available to us each year. The Blue Mtns East Timor Sisters are a great bunch of women. Working with such an enthusiastic bunch of people all the more enjoyable." said Ruth Moline (pictured below at the Booksale).
